Over the weekend we receive a final statement from John. It listsa number of extras and the work that is still outstanding. Final payment is expected on 23-Dec-08. Looks like we missed that payment date.
Two men begin work on the back garden, despite the thin covering of snow. It's amazing what they do with a couple of shovels and a wheelbarrow. They remove the conifers, a flowerbed and some of the old path. The garden instantly looks bigger.
Mike takes the opportunity to lay a few more kitchen tiles too. The underfloor heating is cooled in order to do this, so it feels a bit chilly in the kitchen (overnight temperature is predicted to be -5°)
