The boys collect the styl saw from the tool hire company and begin to lay the sand and blocks in the back garden. The sand is laid and flattened before the blocks are put down. It takes a while to get the borders right, but once these are in place the blocks are positioned quite rapidly. By the end of the day we have a border set out (outlining the patio and path areas) and the patio area is more or less covered with the blocks.
