The weather is clear again today (sunny with a cold breeze). It's not doing the new lawns much good (although they don't look too bad, because we have been watering them). We decide to use the weather to our advantage, using the day to paint the front of the house. Mike prepares the woodwork, cutting out rotten pieces, replacing them and filling where necessary. He even manages to paint some of the render cream. It looks a slightly lighter shade than before and will probably need a couple of coats. When the cavity wall insulation was installed we were left with grey patches on the cream render, which looked like someone had splattered the front of the house with mud. These aren't visible now that they've been painted, so the house is starting to look a lot neater.
