Mike cuts edges the newly laid turf in the back garden. He also lays a strip of turf on a section of the neighbours adjoining garden. Mum and dad visit, bringing with them several packs of new loft boards. Dad plans to help Mike to lay them in the new section of loft. Once in the loft the boys discover that that the boards cannot be laid onto the joists because pipes are in the way. They buy timber from a local DIY store, cut a series of legs/feet which are then fitted, and manage to board approx. half of the new loft space.
In the meantime, Grandma entertains D for a couple of hours whilst Zoe empties another crate or two, storing the contents in the new kitchen. It doesn't look like she's made much difference, but it's great to be able to walk next to our bed again!
