Another dry(ish) day, sees sand brushed into the blockwork on the front drive.

We receive a delivery of 4ft fence panels and concrete base boards for the rear fence. The boys remove the old 5ft fence panels, and replace with the them with the new stuff. The new fence looks smart - garden plants previously restricted access, so we were not able to replace the panels when we refreshed the side fences. The old fence panels had rotted because of the the height of the neighbouring border so we're hoping that, by raising the concrete base, this fence will look neater for a little longer.

Somehow the garden looks bigger - we're not sure whether this is because of the new fence or the lack of vegetation! The work now it highlights the need for a new shed.... Only we've got a bathroom to pay for now! ;(

We dispose of the old fence panels (and the excess glazing from the extension) into the skip. The skip is removed later in the day. Fortunately the skip lorry does not damage the new drive.

This is the last we see of the boys. It's quite a sad day - we're used to having the company of builders on an almost daily basis. We're sure that it's not the last we'll see of builders completely - the plumber is due to install our en suite soon. With this in mind we place the order for the bathroom and downstairs w/c. We now need to find a shower tray for the ensuite, and accessories (basin taps and chrome bottle(?)) for the downstairs loo.
