We’re advised that the pipework will have to be moved before the ceiling/floor can be installed. At which point the outer skin of red brick can be removed from the old exterior wall… The plumber is expected tomorrow.

Monday 04 August 2008 - Day 31
Dave and John (the joiners) arrive. They remove the garage ceiling, chisel out holes in the wall where the joists will go and reveal the pipework/cables that used to lie in the garage loft. It’s impressive to stand in the garage looking up into the roof space. The windows are covered with polythene to protect against water entry.
